The BØRNEfonden campaign to raise money for school materials was a difficult task because of its lack of immediate urgency, unlike food and water based initiatives. The solution was to create a more engaging real-time payback for people when they donated. An interactive outdoor installation was the centre of the campaign.
The installation carried a giant empty school bag; people could fill up by making a donation on their mobile. A real school bag was given to a child in Africa, every time the bag inflated.
